Football Cup Barcelona, Costa de Barcelona, Spain (Spring edition)


Age Groups: U9, U10, U11, U12, U14 & U16

Level: School/Club

International youth football tournament open to boys only (age restrictions apply – see below). The Football Cup Barcleona is held in the Costa de Barcelona region and played in accordance with the regulations of the FIFA and the Spanish and Catalan Football Federation. 

Matches take place on natural grass or high quality artificial pitches, each player receives a medal and the three best teams of each age group recieve a trophy. Visiting teams are based in 3* hotel accommodation in the resort of Santa Susanna which is within walking distance of the beach (150m) and tournament venue (250m)

Groups also have the chance to visit the impressive Camp Nou stadium - home to current La Liga champions FC Barcelona or the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat which is the new home of RCD Espanyol.

Age categories and tournament dates:

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April, 2012
B96 - Boys born on or after January 1, 1996 (11 v 11)
B98 - Boys born on or after January 1, 1998 (11 v 11)
B00 - Boys born on or after January 1, 2000 (7 v 7)
B01 - Boys born on or after January 1, 2001 (7 v 7)
B02 - Boys born on or after January 1, 2002 (7 v 7)
B03 - Boys born on or after January 1, 2003 (7 v 7)


Sample Itinerary

Day 1
Flight to Spain, coach transfer to Santa Susanna
Check into accommodation for the following 3 nights
Dinner

Day 2
Breakfast
Day 1 of the tournament
Lunch
Dinner

Day 3
Breakfast
Day 2 of the tournament
Lunch
Finals, followed by award ceremony
Dinner

Day 4
Breakfast
Trip to the Camp Nou Stadium and if time allows free time in Barcelona city centre
Transfer by coach to the airport, return flight to the UK

Teams can also choose to extend their stay, we can arrange additional fixtures or optional excursions such as Waterworld in Lloret de Mar or Port Aventura Theme Park in Costa Dorada.
