The Argentina Hockey Festival is an international tournament that takes place annually every April in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The host club, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, has the best 2 astro turf fields in Argentina and is one of the most traditional hockey clubs in the country.
2011 will be the 5th edition of the festival. Teams are placed into different pools and play reduced matches (25 minutes each way) during the pool stages with 30 minutes each way for the semi-finals and finals.
Besides the hockey competition, the festival also features Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Pizza Dinner, Karaoke Party, Hockey Clinics with Top Local Coaches and an Awards Ceremony.
The Hockey and Rugby Festivals now operate back to back offering schools the opportunity to run a combined sports tour to Argentina.
7, 10 or 14 nights tourist packages in Argentina are available, combining Buenos Aires, Rosario and Mar del Plata.
Other combinations in Argentina include Iguazú Falls, Mendoza, Córdoba, Bariloche, Calafate, Salta, Tucumán, or you can choose international extensions like Montevideo and Colonia (Uruguay), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Santiago and Viña del Mar (Chile).
