Sporting Destinations has joined forces with Team Sports, Argentina to promote and incorporate Argentina into the world field hockey calendar for schools and clubs.

This annual event now in its third year takes place at the Ciudad de Buenos Aires (two water based astro turfs) and is open to Boys and Girls U18s and Girls U15s sides. Teams are placed into pools of 4 and play reduced matches (25 minutes each way) during the pool stages with 30 minutes each way for the semi-finals and finals.

During the 4 day festival players and coaches are invited to take part in coaching clinics by international coaches, Cultural Exchange functions and integrated activities to promote the understanding, acceptance and friendship between people involved in field hockey from around the world.

Sample Festival Itinerary

Day 1 (Thur 2 April 09)
Arrival of teams, Accreditations and pool round matches.

Day 2 (Fri 3 April 09)
Opening Ceremony, parade and presentation of teams. Pool round matches. Dinner with all teams, Karaoke and cultural functions

Day 3 (Sat 4 April 09)
Final pool round matches and hockey clinic

Day 4 (Sun 5 April 09)
Finals day. End of Festival Barbecue. Awards and Closing Ceremony.
