Sporting Destinations familiarisation (Fam Trips) visits are always very popular, a brilliant way to check out the destination and facilities before your group travel, offering you complete peace of mind. Not only will you view first hand your destination and the standard / type of fixtures you will encounter but you will also learn about the exceptional service of Sporting Destinations and our representatives that will be looking after you in your country of choice.

We regularly run Fam trips to our new and most popular destinations. Our Fam trips, where possible, take place in half term breaks and range in duration from one-week for long haul tour destinations i.e. South Africa and the Caribbean to three/five days for European destinations.

Fam trips provide the perfect opportunity for you to become the font of all knowledge on your destination while getting to know your Tour Co-ordinator. We recommend you bring your Risk Assessment Forms with you as these are a pre tour necessity for most touring sides. Viewing the facilities and services first hand leads to easy completion of the forms!

We suggest that the tour leader attends the Fam trip (one invite per school or club), but you can offer your place to a suitable substitute if you are unavailable. Fam trip places are always limited and dealt with on a first come first serve basis, so get in there quick! The nominal cost of the trip is returned to you if your group tour with us within two years of the Fam trip return date.

For tour destinations not covered by our annual Inspection trips, we can arrange for group leaders the opportunity to visit there chosen tour destination at very favourable rates. We will arrange for you to visit the suggested hotels, venues and excursions for your planned tour.

The following Fam trips are planned and more details will be posted on our website, once itineraries have been finalised.

- St Lucia - May half term 2008
- South Africa - May half term 2009
